What exactly is Tin disulfide?

Tin disulfide (also known as Tin) is an inorganic compound that has chemical formula SnS2. It is an orange hexagonal flake with its CdI2 crystal shape. It is hardly soluble in the water, but it's solubilized in aqua regia or hot alkaline solutions, and it is also soluble in sodium Sulfide Solution, often used as golden paint.

Tin disulfide dissolves in the hot alkali solution. It also undergoes coordination reaction when combined with concentrated hydrochloric acid, but it's non-soluble in dilute acid but insoluble in water and Nitric acid. It also reacts with ammonium Sulfide to dissolve.
